Race Across America 2021

Giant is proud to sponsor Team Thin Energy, the 4-person team of Alex Isaly, Rahsaan Bahati, Rudy Napolitano and James Cowan in the Race Across America (RAAM), beginning June 19, 2021 in Oceanside, California.

Riders with a Mission

The Bahati Foundation, the Team Thin Energy RAAM team, and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), South Bureau Homicide Division, have teamed up to provide support to children who have been traumatized by homicides directly in the City of Los Angeles.

The Bahati Foundation's mission will be to allocate the money raised by the RAAM team into financial investment accounts for each child who was impacted by the loss of their parent. The focus of this special outreach initiative by the foundation is to provide youth access to financial literacy and entrepreneurial training.

About Race Across America

175,000 feet of climbing, over 3000 miles, through deserts and mountains, through extreme temperatures and harsh winds. Racing nonstop day and night from Oceanside, CA to Annapolis, MD. They call RAAM “the World's Toughest Bicycle Race” for a reason.

Race Across America is one of the most respected and longest running ultra-endurance events in the world. No other race combines the distance, terrain and weather - in a punishing race against the clock. RAAM is a true test of speed, mental, physical, and spiritual strength, teamwork and camaraderie.
