MTB Mag: Trance Advanced a "Standout" Trail Bike!
The website MTB Mag has completed a test of the 2017 Trance Advanced, taking the composite-framed trail bike to the steep coastal terrain of the Finale Outdoor Resort in Italy, home of the Enduro World Series finals the past few years.
In his review, MTB Mag editor Francesco Mazza details the updates to this year’s Trance Advanced, including geometry improvements, a trunnion mount shock and Advanced Forged Composite upper rocker arm, plus new Boost technology hubs. Mazza also calls out the TRX 1 27.5 Composite WheelSystem that is spec’d on the Trance Advanced 1 model that he tested.
Describing the bike’s performance on the trail, Mazza writes: “You can really appreciate the maneuverability of the Trance in the most winding and technical bits; the front end, which is not too aggressive, is a big advantage on steep and strenous climbs, where it gives its best."
When it comes to the descents, Mazza writes: “The Trance’s downhill performance is really good. The bike is nimble, extremely fast and smooth in changes of direction. The completely renewed Maestro suspension system definitely enhanced the performance compared to the previous model.
