POSITION: Global E-Commerce Merchandise Specialist

REPORTS TO: Global Head of MarTech

LOCATION: Giant USA (Newbury Park, California)

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a talented professional to join our growing Global Marketing Technology and E-Commerce team. The E-Commerce Specialist role will focus on the management of our critical product data, and involves coordination with our product and marketing teams, as well as our external web and e-commerce partners.In addition, will be supporting a number of e-commerce related projects, from a project management perspective (i.e. on page SEO enhancements, new feature integrations). Someone who has a passion for sports/cycling, combined with a web site and content management background will be an ideal fit for this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for data integrity, accuracy, and upkeep of all bike and gear products in catalog, including, but not limited to, cataloging, uploading photos, applying copy & publishing to the website
  • Own product data: manage and review merchandise presentation on site to ensure the categorization, imagery, and product descriptions are accurate and meet brand guidelines
  • Work closely with product and marketing team to ensure all product data is up to date
  • Collaborate with the studio photo team to ensure there are no missing images on site and support where required with providing sample product to and from the studio for photoshoots
  • Optimize backend processes/functionality to support more efficient site merchandising
  • Support E-Commerce Team with optimizing and updating SEO recommendations for bike and gear catalog
  • Leverage analytics tools to analyze key KPIs and metrics to identify opportunities to improve merchandising and the customer experience across the various sites and product categories

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science or a related field of study with a minimum of 2-5 experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Some knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) is helpful
  • Basic HTML, CSS knowledge
  • Experience in working across tools, ERP, site platform and Google Analytics is preferred
  • Excellent grammar, writing, copy-editing and communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting scheduled deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally
