REDUCED RISK OF FLATS
New Wide Guard rim technology features a broad 30mm inner rim width and a robust 5mm sidewall to reduce the risk of impact punctures. In lab tests, these lightweight alloy rims showed a 29.6% improvement in puncture protection over previous generation alloy TR WheelSystems.
MORE TRACTION
The combination of wider alloy rims and the new 5mm thick sidewall design allow you to run much lower tire pressure without the need of heavy tire inserts. The result is better grip and control on rough, technical trails.

WIDE GUARD TECHNOLOGY
A solid 5mm rim sidewall helps minimize the risk of impact damage by broadening the contact point between a sharp or square-edged object and the rim and tire. This also allows riders to forgo heavy tire inserts, which means less unsprung weight for better suspension performance.

PUNCTURE PROTECTION
To simulate a pinch flat in the lab, a sharp, square-edged block is pressed against the tire until it hits the rim edge and punctures the tire. In test after test, the TRA WheelSystem was shown

E-MTB OPTION
The E-bike specific E-TRA WheelSystem shares the same features and technologies but with an extra-strong steel axle and driver body on the rear hub to handle added forces and torque.
