A NEW KIND OF REVOLT

Every year, gravel racing gets faster. What began as a fringe movement on rugged unmarked routes has matured into a professional pursuit and a new generation of athletes who train, travel and compete for the sole purpose of winning.

The new Revolt Advanced SL is our answer to what gravel racing has become. This bike was not adapted or evolved from its predecessor. It was engineered from the ground up—every tube shape, every layup, every system decision designed to optimize gravel racing performance over gravel racing distances.

Revolt Advanced SL

The lightest, fastest gravel race bike ever built by Giant. Engineered as a system to deliver a competitive edge over long, demanding gravel efforts, the new Revolt Advanced SL combines aero efficiency with smooth, precise handling, helping you hold speed when others fade.

The Revolt Advanced SL is Giant’s most advanced gravel race bike, engineered system-first for competition. It’s built on an Advanced SL-grade composite frameset shaped for aerodynamic efficiency at gravel race speeds. Every detail is designed to make you faster, from the first kilometer to the last.

Unlike bikes that treat the frame as the primary product and leave component selection to chance, the Revolt Advanced SL employs our Total Speed System design philosophy: the frame, fork, one-piece aero cockpit, WheelSystems and CADEX GXR 45mm tires were developed, tested and tuned together as a single race-ready platform. Lighter weight paired with greater stiffness and efficiency is one major factor, but generating more speed over distance starts with a cohesive concept and design.

KEY PERFORMANCE FACTORS

ULTRALIGHT EFFICIENCY
Weight matters in any bike race. In a gravel race that lasts hours and hours, it compounds. Every gram you carry up the climbs and down rough descents adds up at the finish. The Revolt Advanced SL is the lightest gravel bike ever from Giant. It’s not just the frame. Every element of the system has been scrutinized and engineered to minimize weight.

AERO SPEED OVER DISTANCE
In road racing, you can win a sprint and overcome a drag deficit in seconds. Gravel racing is different. You pay for drag with every kilometer you cover. At 30 to 45 km/h over five to ten hours, aerodynamic resistance is a sustained tax on your energy. The Revolt Advanced SL is engineered to minimize that tax across every element of the system: frame, fork, cockpit, wheels and tires.

RACE-TUNED GEOMETRY
The original Revolt helped define gravel riding, but over the last decade gravel racing has become something different. Geometry designed for adventure, versatility or comfort no longer cuts it at the front of a pro race. The Revolt Advanced SL’s geometry is more aggressive, precise and efficient than any of Revolt’s previous iterations.

ULTRALIGHT EFFICIENCY

LIGHTEST REVOLT FRAME EVER
The all-new Advanced SL-grade composite frameset sheds 176g compared to the previous Revolt Advanced Pro frameset. The frame alone drops from 990g to 839g while the fork goes from 395g to 385g. It all adds up to a structure that is not just lighter, but more precisely built. Fewer compromises in the layup means more consistent stiffness, more predictable handling, and a frameset that behaves exactly as engineered.

FULL SYSTEM WEIGHT SAVINGS
A lighter frame alone does not make a faster bike. The Revolt Advanced SL’s weight reduction extends from the frameset through the cockpit to the WheelSystem. The CADEX Max GXR 45 WheelSystem on the flagship Revolt Advanced SL 0 weighs 1,280g, and the complete Revolt Advanced SL 0 system comes in at 4,237g, making it one of the lightest gravel bikes in the world. Lighter weight means faster acceleration, sharper climbing response and more dynamic handling on technical terrain.

SLIMMED DOWN COCKPIT
Weighing a scant 295g, the Contact SLR XR Integrated handlebar features a one-piece design that eliminates the stem clamp interface, reduces frontal area, cleans up cable routing, and stiffens the entire front end of the bike as a unified structure.

GRAVEL AEROSYSTEM
The Revolt Advanced SL’s tube profiles were developed and wind-tunnel tested specifically for the speed of elite gravel racing: 30-45 km/h on mixed surfaces. AeroSystem Shaping is applied across the frameset, fork and cockpit as a single aerodynamic unit—not as isolated components optimized in sequence. Frameset aero drag alone is reduced by 3.72 watts compared to the previous generation—a meaningful savings before the wheels, cockpit or tires are considered.

STREAMLINED FRONT END
The Contact SLR XR Integrated Handlebar uses a one-piece design that eliminates the bar/stem junction, a primary source of front-end turbulence on conventional cockpit setups. Cables disappear into the bar and through the frame for a clean profile. The result is reduced frontal area at the precise point where airflow disruption has the greatest drag impact.

WHEELS & TIRES TOGETHER
The WheelSystems are engineered around a 50mm rim profile developed in combination with the CADEX GXR 45mm tire. The rim shape, tire profile and tread pattern are designed as a unified aerodynamic surface. The result is a wheel-and-tire system that reduces combined rotating drag by 2.18 watts compared to the previous WheelSystem.

RACE-TUNED GEOMETRY

AGGRESSIVE POSITIONING
The Revolt Advanced SL puts riders into a lower, longer, more aerodynamic posture than its predecessor, without sacrificing the control needed to race at high speeds on rugged terrain. Stack drops from 586mm to 557mm (size M) to lower your frontal profile and reduce wind resistance. Reach extends to 395mm, encouraging a stretched, efficient position over long distances.

PURE PRECISION
Race-tuned geometry only delivers if the chassis is stiff enough to execute it. The Revolt Advanced SL delivers a 35.2% improvement in system handling stiffness compared to the previous platform. This is a result of the updated OverDrive headset, full-composite OverDrive steerer, and the structural contribution of the Contact SLR XR Integrated handlebar acting as a unified front-end system.

SPEED AND CONTROL
The 1,033mm wheelbase and 433mm chainstays are calibrated for the specific demands of gravel racing. It's long enough for high-speed stability on fast open roads and rough descents, responsive enough for aggressive cornering and changing conditions. The 69mm trail (size M) delivers a confident front-end feel that’s ideal for wide race tires and won’t feel sluggish in tight, technical sections.

Athlete tested

“At the level we’re racing now, every system on the bike has to work together. There’s no room for compromise. The Revolt Advanced SL is the first gravel bike I’ve ever ridden that feels like it was 100% engineered for the demands we face. The aero advantage, the way it carries speed over rough terrain — it changes what’s possible in every race situation.”
