Giant Factory Off-Road Team rider Youn Deniaud scored a top-10 finish at Round 4 of the Enduro World Series, riding consistently throughout the two-day event to finish sixth overall. The Frenchman was top-five in three of five stages to finish sixth overall.

EWS racers were in La Thuile, Italy, all week for two rounds of racing in the Aosta Valley of Northwest Italy. Riders were challenged with long, steep descents, tough climbs and dramatic stages that started above treeline. The trails at La Thuile are rocky and exposed near the top, with roots and ruts in the lower sections as they fly through the trees.

The latest round of the EWS in La Thuile kicked off with the Pro stage on Saturday night, a new addition to the EWS this year. This prologue stage counts for the overall and was followed by four stages on Sunday to determine overall standings.

Deniaud, riding his Reign Advanced Pro 29 race bike and Giant Line shoes, started off with an 11th place finish in the Pro stage. He gained momentum on Sunday, staying near the front of the pack to finish fourth in Stages 2-4. He dropped to 12th on the final stage, which netted the Frenchman sixth overall, his best EWS finish this year. Deniaud now sits 13th overall in the series rankings at the midway point of the season.
