Anthem X Advanced Pro
Current price: 45 000,00 kr
Call it XC or call it trail. This versatile addition to the Anthem range does it all and does it with speed. An Advanced-grade composite frame is paired with semi-integrated FlexPoint Pro rear suspension and a longer travel 130mm fork for the perfect blend of efficient power transfer and confident control. A flip chip lets you adjust geometry, and a cleanly integrated handlebar/stem adds compliance for hard-hammering XC terrain.
Key Performance Factors
LOW LATENCY SPEED CONCEPT
An updated Advanced-grade composite frame delivers efficient power transfer to help you power up climbs and make every watt count. The semi-integrated rear suspension shaves weight and opens up space for a second water bottle. And an integrated alloy handlebar/stem unit creates an aggressive, attack-ready position for instant response on every climb and sprint.
TOTAL CONTROL
The new FlexPoint Pro suspension delivers 120mm of smooth, active rear travel paired with a longer travel 130mm fork, helping you fly down rough descents and power up technical climbs. A flip chip lets you fine-tune handling for fast XC and more technical trail riding. The XCA 2 29 WheelSystem features robust 5mm thick rounded edges to help deflect angled strikes and reduce the risk of rim damage and tire sidewall cuts.
SYSTEM INTEGRATION
Giant-engineered suspension products — including the Crest FloTrac shock and 130mm Crest XC Comp fork — are custom-tuned for FlexPoint Pro’s suspension kinematics. A one-piece Contact SL XC integrated alloy handlebar/stem unit adds compliance to reduce shocks and vibrations while adding under-bar cable routing for a clean cockpit setup.
Highlights
1
ADVANCED COMPOSITE
Raw carbon is woven in the Giant composite factory using advanced engineering and construction methods. Fully integrated inner molding creates a one-piece front triangle with minimal weight. Cold-blade cutting using fewer sections of composite allows for minimal overlapping, superior wall thickness control, and finely tuned frame stiffness.
2
FLEXPOINT PRO SUSPENSION
Developed as superlight rear suspension for XC bikes that demand efficiency, control and responsive handling, this 120mm single-pivot system is semi-integrated and attached beneath the top tube with a full-composite swingarm to minimize frame weight.
3
ADVANCED FORGED COMPOSITE
A high-pressure molding process is used to produce a complex shaped carbon-fiber upper rocker arm that is lighter, stiffer and stronger than an aluminum version.
4
ADJUSTABLE GEOMETRY
A two-position flip chip lets you adjust frame geometry and fine-tune the handling for your riding style and terrain. The High setting locks in a steeper head and seat tube angle for sharp, aggressive handling. The Low setting reduces those angles by a half-degree, offering slightly more relaxed handling for the most technical terrain.
5
TWO BOTTLES
The new frame design has space for a second water bottle. Integrated mounts on the seat tube allow you to carry more hydration without having to wear a pack — a major upgrade for marathon races or longer XC rides.
6
CREST FLOTRAC XC SHOCK
Purpose-built and tuned to complement the suspension kinematics of Giant XC bikes with an optimized air spring for full support across the stroke spectrum. Triple Flow Path technology regulates oil flow, ensuring optimal performance and ground contact in open, firm or lockout modes.
7
CREST XC COMP FORK
Optimized for fast, technical XC terrain, this longer travel 130mm fork features a twin-air spring system with small-bump sensitivity and a smooth, linear spring curve. The refined damper oil circuit flows freely, so the fork reacts quickly to terrain changes and gives you optimal tire contact and traction.
8
OVERDRIVE
Designed to provide precise front-end steering performance, the system's oversized headset bearings (1 1/2" lower and 1 1/8" upper) and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness.
9
MEGADRIVE
A massive down tube and oversized top tube provide superior front end lateral and torsional stiffness. The precisely engineered, rectangular shaped down tube yields unprecedented steering precision and pedaling performance.
10
POWERCORE
A massively oversized bottom bracket area features a fully integrated, 92mm wide design. Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and increased stability on the non-driveside.
11
WIDE GUARD
Hookless rims designed with robust 5mm thick rounded edges to help deflect angled strikes and reduce the risk of rim damage and tire sidewall cuts. This design lets you run lower tire pressures for greater control and a reduced risk of punctures.
12
GIANT TUBELESS SYSTEM
Integrated Tubeless WheelSystem and tires deliver improved efficiency, comfort and control in the most user-friendly and reliable system.
Techs & Features
Advanced Composite Technology
Giant’s High Performance Grade raw carbon material is used to produce this custom frame material in our own composite factory with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle of these framesets is assembled and molded as one continuous piece in a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
FlexPoint Pro Suspension Technology
Developed as a superlight rear suspension setup for XC bikes that demand efficiency, control and responsive handling, FlexPoint Pro is a linkage-driven, single-pivot system that delivers 100mm of rear-wheel travel. It’s engineered with a full-composite swingarm that significantly reduces overall frame weight.
Advanced Forged Composite Technology
A state-of-the-art high-pressure molding process is used to produce complex-shaped carbon fiber components that are lighter, stiffer and stronger than similar components made from aluminum. This technology is used in critical performance parts such as Maestro Suspension rocker links.
OverDrive
An oversized fork steerer tube increases front-end stiffness for precise steering at speed, giving you greater control through corners and over rough road surfaces.
MegaDrive
A massive rectangular downtube and oversized toptube work in unison to provide superior front end lateral and torsional steering precision. The precisely engineered, rectangular shaped downtube yields unprecedented steering and pedaling stiffness.
PowerCore
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter wide bottom-bracket design (92-millimeter wide for off-road bikes). Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
Wide Guard Technology
When your wheel hits a sharp or square edge, especially at speed, pinch flats and rim damage can occur. Wide Guard technology minimizes this risk by broadening the contact point between the rim and tire with a solid 5mm rim sidewall. That means you can skip the heavy tire inserts to have less unsprung weight on your bike and allow your suspension to perform better. The wide sidewalls also better protect your wheel from big impacts, reducing the possibility of rim damage.
Tubeless System
Fewer flat tires. Greater traction. Less rolling resistance and a smoother, faster ride. Giant’s Tubeless System makes it easier than ever to experience all these benefits.
