Nearly a decade ago, Giant introduced a wild looking bike called the Revolt. At the time, gravel riding as a category was a little-known subset. Serious gravel riders of that era had to be creative with their bike and gear choices, typically choosing a cyclocross bike or road bike and modifying it to handle long rides on mixed terrain.

In 2013, along came the Revolt. With its sloping top tube, radically dropped seatstays, disc brakes, and slim carbon seatpost allowing for some flex, it was a progressive idea. Some of the Revolt’s original design concepts influenced the bikes that followed, upping the capabilities for riders looking to push their limits on variable terrain.

Giant pro gravel racers now rely on their Revolt race bikes at popular and fast-growing gravel events that regularly sell out and draw WorldTour pros. That demand for a competitive edge at the races, combined with a need for wide-ranging capabilities, led to the creation of the all-new Revolt Advanced Pro and Revolt Advanced.

Whether you’re aiming for the podium, attempting your first 100-miler on variable terrain, or planning a multi-day trek across roads, gravel and dirt, this new Revolt gives you the lightweight efficiency, smooth compliance, and adaptability to make the most of your adventures.

Lighter frame
Significantly lighter weight, full composite framesets feature updated geometry to boost efficiency and all-around performance. A shorter wheelbase and reduced fork trail produce a more lively, responsive feel in a wide variety of riding conditions. Geometry updates also include a longer reach and steeper head angle. In addition, the bottom bracket has been lowered 10mm (80mm drop compared to 70mm). Developed over the past year with Giant pro racers, these are the lightest Revolt models ever. They are more focused on speed and agility, equally adept at dirt road climbs, cornering on loose gravel surfaces, and sprinting for the finish after hours in the saddle.
D-Fuse seatpost
Every new Revolt features a lower seatstay junction with thinner diameter tubes to improve rear-end compliance without sacrificing stiffness while cornering, sprinting or climbing. Each model also comes with the latest D-Fuse seatpost technology to reduce shocks and vibrations on rough roads or dirt. The seatpost is secured with a hidden clamp inside the seat tube, allowing for more flexing area to optimize its compliance. Both series also include D-Fuse handlebars, with similar D-shaped tubing as the seatpost. The handlebar works together with the seatpost to add compliance at two key contact points without the unwanted complexity or weight associated with pivots or inserts.
Flip Chip Dropout
A flip chip on the rear dropout lets you adjust the wheelbase by 10mm. The short setting gives it a quicker, more agile feel, while the long setting improves stability on rougher roads, gravel and dirt. The long setting also provides more clearance for a larger rear tire (up to 53mm) and extends fork trail 4mm for added stability. Revolt now offers the option for a 30.9mm round post with an included adaptor, which means you can use a mountain bike style dropper post. And to maximize capabilities on long rides, the frame has six water bottle mounts along plus adaptors to mount racks or fenders.

Flip Chip Dropout

Allows riders to quickly adjust the geometry and rear-wheel tire clearance with eccentric, offset two-position hardware in the rear wheel dropouts.

Advanced Composite

High-performance grade raw carbon material is used to produce this custom frame material in our own composite factory with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle is assembled and molded as one continuous piece in a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.

Disc-Brake Integration

The frame and fork are engineered specifically for disc brakes for reliable braking performance in all weather and road conditions.

Full-Composite Fork

New, lighter weight composite fork with an OverDrive tapered steerer tube absorbs road shock and vibrations and allows added clearance for tires up to 53mm wide.

Integrated Mounts

Frameset features six water bottle mounts: two on the down tube, two on the fork, plus one each on the top tube and seat tube. Also includes a special adaptor at the seatpost for mounting a rack and is compatible with third-party setups so it’s easy to customize with fenders and other accessories.
