The mountain bike website Loam Wolf published an E-mountain bike roundup, testing the top-10 models for 2019 including the Trance E+ SX Pro. Featuring the most up-to-date Maestro suspension and a SyncDrive Pro motor powered by Yamaha, the aggressive trail machine took the title of “best descending e-bike.”
“That’s no small title, beating out the likes of the Pivot Shuttle, Specialized Levo and Norco Sight VLT to claim the crown,” wrote Loam Wolf. “Out of all the bikes in the test, the Giant Trance E+ SX 0 Pro stood out from the pack with its ability to descend. Composed and confident are two words I can’t help but use to describe this bike’s mannerism on the trail.”
In the review, and also in a video feature, Loam Wolf detailed the features and technologies that make the Trance E+ SX Pro stand out. In addition to the ALUXX SL aluminum frame with 140mm of rear suspension and 160mm up front, they praised its integrated EnergyPak 500 battery and RideControl ONE controller—part of the Hybrid Cycling Technology that powers all Giant E-bikes.
“The package is well put together and can withstand the rigors of skilled riders hitting heavy terrain,” Loam Wolf wrote. “Riders looking for an aggressive eMTB that can handle gnarly mountain bike terrain while still being a capable all around bike will be the ideal candidate for this Giant.”
