Canadian Cycling: Anthem Advanced Pro 29 is a "Race-Ready Rocket!"
Canadian Cycling Magazine put the new Anthem Advanced Pro 29 to the test for a new review, concluding that the full-suspension XC racer is “an out-of-the-box, race-ready rocket.”
Reviewer Brad Hunter rode the Anthem Advanced Pro 29 on the trails of Squamish, British Columbia, to get a feel for how the bike’s latest advancements—including an updated Maestro Suspension system with a new trunnion mount shock and Advanced Forged Composite rocker arm—performed on challenging Canadian singletrack.
“The reworked Maestro Suspension makes the most of the 90mm of travel,” Hunter wrote. “There was no harshness at any point in the travel. The minimal sag kept the bottom bracket at a sweet spot with no pedal strikes.”
Hunter found that the the combination of the bike’s updated, XC-specific geometry and larger diameter wheels gave it a fast, efficient feel on the trail. “The 29-inch wheels definitely help this shorter travel bike hold speed, putting me in corners a bit faster than expected,” he wrote.
