Technology

For more than 40 years, Giant has been defining - and redefining - the modern bicycle.

We were founded on a commitment to push the boundaries of technology and improve the cycling experience. Our legacy of innovation speaks for itself: We were first to mass produce high-end aluminum bikes. First to offer affordable carbon fiber frames. We created the first compact geometry road bikes. And we invented the award-winning Maestro Suspension. Today, that legacy continues with new breakthroughs and innovations in frame and component technologies.

MATERIALS

1) Optimized blend of Performance Grade raw carbon material and fiber-reinforced polymer delivers a ride experience that is both smooth and efficient.

RESIN

2) Performance Formula resin features a high level of void minimization (bubbles) while maintaining good strength characteristics.

CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES

3) Modified Monocoque Construction: The front triangle (downtube, headtube, toptube, seattube) is assembled and molded as one continuous piece. This front half is then joined to the rear chainstays and seatstays in a secondary process. Modified Monocoque eliminates the outermost woven composite sheet to reduce weight without affecting ride quality, strength or stiffness.
