How to use RideControl

RideControl is Giant’s handlebar-mounted command center. It provides ergonomically designed controls to adjust riding modes and view date including speed, distance and battery level. These instructions will help you get started with RideControl and guide you through the various support modes.

Start by pressing the power button to turn on your E-bike. When you press and hold the power button more than 2.5 seconds, the system will automatically switch off. E-bikes with the SyncDrive Pro motor have five support modes: Eco, Basic, Active, Sport & Power.

Eco mode: The Eco support mode is the least powerful support mode (100% human power receives 100% support from the motor) and consumes the least power. It is the best mode to get some exercise and for riding flat terrain.

Basic mode: The Basic support mode provides slightly more support (100% human power receives 175% support from the motor) and consumes a bit more power than Eco mode. It is still a good support mode to get some exercise and for riding flat to hilly terrain.

Active mode: The Active support mode is the middle support mode (100% human power receives 250% support from the motor) and has an average consumption rate on your EnergyPak. It is a good support mode to use on more challenging rides, such as trekking or XC-oriented terrain.

Sport mode: The Sport support mode is the second highest support mode (100% human power receives 300% support from the motor) and has a higher consumption rate. It is a good support mode to use when you need that extra juice to climb steep hills.

Power mode: The Power support mode is the highest support mode (100% human power receives 360% support from the motor) and consumes the most energy. It is a good support mode to use while you are riding steep climbs and need maximum support.
