Designed around the proven endurance geometry of the Defy range and handcrafted with lightweight, smooth-riding Advanced-grade composite, this frame delivers speed, confidence and control. The rear triangle features ultra-thin, flattened seatstays to reduce road vibrations, and the D-Fuse seatpost helps smooth out the road. And new flat-mount disc brakes plus 12mm thru-axle hubs give you more control than ever in all types of conditions.
Specific composite layup and tube shaping, including ultra-thin and flattened seatstays, a low seatstay/seattube junction, and thin, slightly curved fork legs combine for a balanced, compliant ride quality and reduced rider fatigue.
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter-wide bottom-bracket design. Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
Designed to provide precise front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/4” lower and1 1/8” upper) and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness.
