REDUCED RISK OF FLATS
New Wide Guard rim technology features a broad 30mm inner rim width and a robust 5mm sidewall to reduce the risk of impact punctures. In lab tests, these composite rims showed a 29.6% improvement in puncture protection over the previous generation TRX WheelSystem.
MORE TRACTION
The combination of wider composite rims and the new 5mm thick sidewall allow you to run much lower tire pressure without the need of heavy tire inserts. The result is better grip and control on rough, technical trails.

Lightweight composite rims combined with an industry-leading 72-tooth pawl driver results in rapid power transfer and acceleration. The rear hub’s oversized drive-side hub body bearing, axle and ring nut combine with the enlarged pawls to increase stiffness and durability.

WIDE GUARD TECHNOLOGY
A solid 5mm rim sidewall helps minimize the risk of impact damage by broadening the contact point between a sharp or square-edged object and the rim and tire. This also allows riders to forgo heavy tire inserts, which means less unsprung weight for better suspension performance.

PUNCTURE PROTECTION
Lab tests simulated pinch flat scenarios by pressinga sharp, square-edged block against the tire until it hit the rim edge and punctured the tire. In test after test, the TRX WheelSystem withstood the highest impact forces without flatting, outperforming previous generation TRX and other top wheels in the category by up to 44 percent.

The E-bike specific E-TRX WheelSystem shares the same features and technologies but with an extra-strong steel axle and driver body on the rear hub to handle added forces and torque.
