MIPS
Il MIPS BPS (Brain Protection System) è stato creato per aggiungere protezione nei caschi contro il movimento rotazionale. Il movimento rotazionale è una combinazione di energia di rotazione (velocità angolare) e forze di rotazione (dall'accelerazione angolare) che colpisce il cervello e aumenta il rischio di lesioni cerebrali minori e gravi. Virginia Tech 4 Star Rating
In collaboration with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Virginia Tech Helmet lab tests helmets using the STAR evaluation system. The impact tests evaluate a helmet's ability to reduce linear acceleration and rotational velocity of the head resulting from a range of impacts a cyclist might experience. Helmets with more stars provide a reduction in concussion risk for these impacts, with 4 and 5 star ratings being the most highly recommended. Read more.
