Get ready to step up your singletrack game. This all-new aluminum hardtail combines progressive trail geometry with a Giant Crest 34 suspension fork that delivers 130mm of travel for a smooth, balanced ride quality. It’s efficient, responsive and equally fun on technical climbs or fast, flowy descents.

Choose your ride

The new Fathom range gives you choices: You can select models with 27.5 or 29-inch wheels depending on your riding style and terrain. Frame geometry is the same for both options—the main difference is in wheel diameter and tire width. In both cases, you get the added control and confidence of grippy, high-volume tires. The 29-inch models come with 2.5-inch wide tires and the 27.5-inch models come with even wider 2.6-inch rubber.

MODERN TRAIL GEOMETRY

The frame is engineered with our lightweight ALUXX SL aluminum, which features double-butted tubing to save weight without compromising strength and stiffness. Geometry is designed for an agile yet confident feel on the trail. The 75-degree seattube angle makes it an efficient climber, putting you in position to accelerate with ease and power up climbs.

Up front, the 66-degree headtube and plush 130mm suspension fork makes easy work of roots, rocks and ruts when the trail gets rowdy. This balanced feel from front to rear is further enhanced by a Giant dropper seatpost that lets you adjust saddle height on the fly with a handlebar remote. Additional trail-specific features include a new forged chainstay that allows for a shorter rear-center measurement (435mm). This design, combined with Boost hub spacing, also creates added tire clearance. The frames are designed with internal cable routing for a clean look and performance.

All Fathom bikes are designed for single chainring drivetrains, the preferred setup for modern trail riding. They also come with the new Giant Romero saddle, which has been designed specifically for the needs of trail riders and was tested with input from Giant’s pro enduro racers.

All these features and technologies, along with Giant’s proven leadership in aluminum frame engineering, make Fathom a great choice for off-road riders who enjoy the responsiveness and classic feel of a hardtail enhanced with the smooth, balanced control of modern, trail-specific design.
