Round 3 of the Enduro World Series took the Giant Factory Off-Road Team to Olargues, France, where they encountered steep, rocky terrain and some of the tightest, most technical tracks they’ve seen yet this year. Three riders from the team raced eight challenging stages over the course of two days, which saw some extreme weather changes as well.

The highlight of the weekend was Rae Morrison’s win on Stage 4. Riding her Liv Hail Advanced, Morrison captured her first-ever EWS stage victory on a wet and slippery urban stage at the end of Day 1. Morrison went on to score two top-five stage finishes on Day 2, taking 7thoverall for the weekend.

“I’m so happy, it was a huge confidence boost for the rest of the race and going into the rest of the season,” said Morrison, who finished the weekend seventh overall. “Day 2 I also felt good and managed to keep it upright on some of the most gnarly and scary EWS stages we’ve ever had.”

On the men’s side, Josh Carlson got off to a strong start on the Day 1, finishing fourth on Stage 2. “To get a solid result on that stage was a great confidence boost, knowing I do have the pace when it comes together,” said Carlson, who rode his Reign Advanced team bike.

The second day of racing presented a whole new set of challenges, as rain and wind made for deteriorating conditions on the steep, rocky tracks. Carlson had an untimely fluke mechanical issue on the final stage that dropped him out of contention, while the team's third member, Mckay Vezina, managed to stay out of trouble and ride consistently to finish 22nd for the weekend.
