This state-of-the-art aluminum material is made predominantly from 6011 alloy and delivers best-in-class strength-to-weight ratios. The frameset features unique welding technologies for a high-performance ride quality.

Fathom 29
SINGLETRACK MIND
Highlights
Built on a lightweight ALUXX SL aluminum frameset with progressive trail geometry, Fathom 29 is designed for the added stability and roll-over capabilities of 29-inch wheels with grippy, high-volume 2.5-inch tires. It has a number of trail-specific features including a 130mm suspension fork and dropper seatpost. Here’s a look at its key technologies:

Aluxx SL Aluminum
Crest 34 Suspenion Fork
130mm travel fork is engineered with a lightweight twin air spring along with volume spacers to adjust performance for riding style and weight. State-of-the-art machining provides tight tolerances for low-friction fork action, and an adjustable damper system lets riders fine-tune the feel.
Internal Cable Routing
Derailleur, brake and dropper post cables are primarily routed internally through integrated ports. This helps saves weight and creates a cleaner look and performance.
Contact Switch Dropper Post
Durable and hassle-free dropper post uses alloy air and oil cartridge for smooth, consistent saddle height adjustment (125mm for Small, 150mm for Medium, 170mm for Large and XL). Handlebar-mounted remote lever makes it easy to operate on the fly.
Forged Chainstay
New frame design provides maximum rear tire clearance for larger tire sizes. This design also results in a shorter rear-center frame measurement for progressive trail riding performance.
29-inch wheels
Larger-diameter wheels and added frame and fork clearance for high-volume tires give Fathom 29 improved balance, stability and speed that’s ideal for smooth, fast singletrack trails.
Additional Bottle Mount
Bottle mounts on the underside of the downtube allow Medium, Large and XL frames to carry three bottles. Small frames can carry two bottles (one on top side of downtube and one below).
1X Drivetrain Setup
Frameset is designed specifically for a single chainring crankset, further maximizing clearance for high-volume rear tire.
Boost Technology
Wider hub spacing (110mm front/148mm rear) results in stiffer wheels for added control plus more tire clearance and an improved chainline for optimal drivetrain performance.
Giant Tubeless System
Integrated Tubeless WheelSystem and tires deliver improved efficiency, comfort and control in the most user-friendly and reliable system.

ALUXX SL Aluminum Technology
This High-Performance level, state-of-the-art aluminum material is made predominantly from 6011 alloy and delivers best-in-class strength-to-weight ratios. These framesets also feature unique welding technologies for a high-performance ride quality.
OverDrive
Giant’s original oversized fork steerer tube technology. Designed to provide precise front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/4” lower and 1 1/8” upper for road, 1 1/2” lower and 1 1/8” upper for mountain) and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness.
Tubeless System
Fewer flat tires. Greater traction. Less rolling resistance and a smoother, faster ride. Giant’s Tubeless System makes it easier than ever to experience all these benefits.
