From windswept flats to climbs, corners and descents, the new Trinity Advanced SL delivers dynamic speed and control when every second counts. Easily adaptable to triathlon or TT, and featuring aero-integrated hydration and fueling systems, it’s lighter, more aerodynamic and smoother riding than the previous generation, with greater adjustability to dial in position and fit.

Key Performance Factors

FULL-SPEED DYNAMICS

All-new composite frameset designed for flat-out speed and pinpoint control when racing against the clock. 558g less weight for faster climbing, integrated disc brakes for confident cornering and descending, added compliance for smoother ride performance, plus an integrated bento box and hydration straw to help riders produce full power without disturbing their riding position.

ULTIMATE AERO EFFICIENCY

AeroSystem Shaping Technology with truncated ellipse tubing for a 5.9-watt aero advantage and greater stiffness-to-weight ratio over previous generation Trinity. In addition, the hydration reservoir, bottles and bento box form an aero-optimized, integrated fueling system.

PERSONALIZED FIT

With a far greater range of adjustability compared to previous Trinity models—including four seatpost offset positions (51mm range) and 24x more armrest positioning options (stack, reach, angle and width)—it’s easier than ever to dial in fit for all body types and any riding position using simple two-bolt mechanisms.

FAQ

Trinity Advanced SL Frameset

Who is the Trinity Advanced SL rider?

The Giant Trinity Advanced SL is designed for riders who demand uncompromised performance in triathlon and time trial (TT) racing. With optimized weight, aerodynamics, and efficiency, it’s built to meet the needs of elite riders and serious competitors. As the latest generation of one of the most accomplished aerodynamic bicycles ever to compete in triathlon and time trialing, the Trinity Advanced SL is tailored for those who aim to excel on race day.

Why did Giant develop the new Trinity Advanced SL?

With overall participation in triathlons experiencing significant growth, courses increasing in complexity, and race times becoming faster, Giant set out to engineer a bike that meets the evolving demands of today’s athletes. The new Trinity Advanced SL reflects Giant’s commitment to advancing cycling, engineering a frameset that combines efficiency, power, and adjustability with exceptional comfort and performance for every rider striving for excellence.

In greater detail, what has been upgraded on the new Giant Trinity Advanced SL?

Lighter weight
The Advanced SL-grade composite frame (upgraded from Advanced-grade composite), combined with refinements to the paint, seatpost, fueling system, and handlebars, reduces the weight of the new Trinity Advanced SL by 558 grams compared to its predecessor, making it the lightest Trinity yet.

Stiffness and efficiency
The new Trinity Advanced SL achieves a 12% improvement in efficiency while maintaining the same stiffness as the original model. Feedback from athletes confirmed that the original Trinity’s stiffness provided optimal steering, sprinting, and pedaling performance, so Giant focused on reducing weight to enhance overall efficiency without compromising the bike’s exceptional handling and power transfer.

Disc brakes
The new Trinity Advanced SL upgrades from rim brakes to disc brakes, offering superior braking power in all weather conditions, better heat dissipation, reduced rim wear, and more consistent braking performance. This results in greater control and confidence on technical courses.

Integrated fueling system: AeroVault System
The AeroVault System has been notably updated to seamlessly integrate into the frameset. The expanded hard-shelled bento box now holds six gels (up from four), while the redesigned hydration system includes dual-sided access for easy refilling and a capacity of 700ml on sizes XS, S and 850ml on size M and L.

Adjustability.
The new Trinity Advanced SL features unmatched adjustability, making it the most versatile triathlon and TT frameset on the market. Designed to adapt to a wide range of body shapes and proportions, it seamlessly transitions between triathlon and TT disciplines.

  • Armrests: 24x more adjustment options than the previous generation, easily customizable with a simple two-bolt mechanism.
  • Seatpost: redesigned with four offset positions and a 51mm adjustment range (compared to two positions and 40mm previously), offering greater flexibility to achieve the ideal riding position for comfort and efficiency.
  • Riding positions:
    • For triathlon racing, the Trinity Advanced SL supports a more upright, comfortable position ideal for endurance events.
    • For TT racing, it accommodates a more aggressive, aerodynamic position for maximum speed.

What are the key technical specifications of the Trinity Advanced SL?

  • Bottom bracket standard: press-fit
  • Brake caliper mounting type: flat mount
  • Maximum rotor sizes: 160mm front and 140mm rear (without adapter); 160mm maximum (with adapter)
  • Maximum tire clearance: 30mm
  • Cockpit compatibility: designed for Giant Base Bar with SYNC EVO Pro extensions; compatible with aftermarket computer mounts.
  • Tri frameset kit: The frameset includes the frame, fork, hardware, cockpit (Giant Base Bar with integrated stem combo and new SYNC rest set), top tube bento box, hydration kit, and computer mount.
  • Tri frameset hydration components: The tri frameset comes equipped with the hydration system, including a metal threading tool that makes setup and thorough cleaning simple. The system is attached like a standard water bottle cage, so alternatively, you can remove the reservoir and install a standard water bottle cage and bottle.
  • TT frameset kit: The frameset includes the frame, fork, hardware, cockpit (Giant Base Bar with integrated stem combo and new SYNC rest set), down tube bottle and cage and computer mount.

Is the frameset UCI-compliant?

Yes, the frameset is compliant for time trial (TT) events.

When will the new Trinity Advanced SL be available for purchase?

The Trinity Advanced SL will be available starting January 2025.
