Blast through the sandpit, carve through corners, and lay down the power on the final finishing stretch. This sharp-handling cyclocross machine is made for podium pursuits during ’cross season and mixed road and dirt rides all year long.
Key Performance Factors
Light and agile
Advanced-grade composite frame offers a perfect balance of light weight for climbing and accelerating, plus stiffness for precise handling on rough cyclocross terrain.
Integrated disc brake technology with flat mounts and thru-axle hubs, combined with tubeless ready Giant WheelSystem, delivers added control in variable conditions and all types of weather.
Smooth ride quality
D-shaped composite seatpost reduces shocks and vibrations, minimizing fatigue so you can stay strong to the finish.
Engineered for the beautiful chaos of cyclocross racing, this composite flyer helps you keep your cool when conditions get wild. Its Advanced-grade composite frame makes it easier to power up steep climbs, shoulder the bike for barriers and run-ups, and rail descents in sand, mud or ice. It has the perfect balance of stiffness and compliance, and the D-Fuse composite seatpost helps absorb shocks and vibrations—so you can float through ruts and washboard bumps, and stay fresh for the final lap. Integrated disc brakes with flat mounts and thru-axles help boost control, and its Tubeless Ready Giant WheelSystem makes it easy to enjoy the advantages of tubeless tires including a smoother ride quality, less rolling resistance and a reduced risk of flats.
The proprietary D-shaped composite seatpost dampens vibration—resulting in a smooth, compliant ride.
Internal Seatpost Clamp
Lightweight, all-internal seatpost locking mechanism provides clean, confident clamping power where it is needed most.
Cyclocross Specific Tubing
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was used to create tube shapes that enhance the performance and ride quality for cyclocross racing including a flattened and smoothed toptube shape for easier shouldering.
Designed to offer unprecedented front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/4" lower, 1 1/8" upper) and tapered steerer tube work in harmony to provide supreme steering stiffness.
Modified Monocoque Construction
Eliminates the outermost woven composite sheet (found on heavier framesets) to reduce weight without affecting ride quality, strength or stiffness.
Frame is engineered with flat-mount disc-brake integration for superior braking performance in all types of on- or off-road conditions.
Techs & Features
Advanced Composite Technology
Giant’s High Performance Grade raw carbon material is used to produce this custom frame material in our own composite factory with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle of these framesets is assembled and molded as one continuous piece in a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
Internal Seatpost Clamp
A lightweight, all-internal seatpost locking mechanism provides confident clamping force with clean performance and aesthetics.
Giant’s original oversized fork steerer tube technology. Designed to provide precise front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/4” lower and 1 1/8” upper for road, 1 1/2” lower and 1 1/8” upper for mountain) and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness.
Fewer flat tires. Greater traction. Less rolling resistance and a smoother, faster ride. Giant’s Tubeless System makes it easier than ever to experience all these benefits.
