For 15 years Reign has never stood still. Born to tame steep, technical trails, this was one of the first Giant mountain bikes engineered with Maestro Suspension. When it came on the scene in 2005 with its innovative rear suspension featuring four pivot points and an active, plush feel on the trail, Reign helped redefine what mountain bikes were capable of.

Things have changed since then. The technology, the trails, the speeds have all progressed. Reign has too. And this latest addition to the Reign family is the most progressive one yet.

Reign 29 has racing in its blood. It was engineered, designed and developed with Giant Factory Off-Road Team enduro racers who wanted a confident, efficient and, most of all, fast machine to help them push new limits on Enduro World Series tracks and other aggressive terrain. So, whether or not you choose to race, Reign 29 shaves seconds off your descents and helps you climb with less effort.

The updated Maestro Suspension delivers 146mm of smooth rear travel. With its new trunnion mount shock and Advanced Forged Composite rocker arm, it absorbs rocks, roots and ruts and keeps you connected to the trail with greater control. The frame geometry, including a 65-degree headtube angle and 76.8-degree seattube angle, was dialed in with our pro enduro racers to help them crush technical terrain and rail corners at speed. The front-end is designed for a 160mm fork with a 42 or 44mm offset (depending on the fork model), giving you confident handling and stability on high-speed descents.

The 2020 Reign 29 range includes three series: the flagship Reign Advanced Pro 29 with a full Advanced-grade composite frameset, the Reign 29 with an ALUXX SL aluminum frame, and the more downhill-focused Reign SX 29, which features a longer travel fork (170mm) and components for descending steep, technical terrain.
