TCR Advanced Pro Disc Wins Bicycling Editors' Choice!
Bicycling Magazine announced its 2017 Road Bike Editors’ Choice Awards last week at the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, California, and the TCR Advanced Pro Disc was one of three Giant road bikes to take home the prestigious award.
Each year Bicycling conducts a comprehensive search to identify and review the best road bikes available to consumers. This year they went through hundreds of choices, narrowing them down to a final list of 16 bikes that stand out from the competition. With its three winners in the road bike category (plus one for Giant’s sister brand Liv), Giant took home the most Editors’ Choice awards of any brand.
“We started with a mission,” wrote Bicycling editors. “To find the very best road bikes of 2017. We gathered nominations from our editors, who together ride hundreds of road bikes per year. After many hours of riding (and much heated discussion) we arrived at the final list of 16 bikes.”
Editors described their TCR Advanced Pro 1 Disc test bike as “a lot of bike for your money, with a full carbon frame, tubeless-compatible carbon wheels, and hydraulic disc brakes for optimal speed modulation.”
“They really did a fantastic job of tuning that ride quality,” remarked one Bicycling editor. “Super smooth, but not dead-feeling at all; you still feel the road, but it’s layered with some silky quality.”
