RoadBikeReview tested the Rev MIPS helmet recently, giving it a near-perfect 4.5-star ranking and praising its head-cooling ventilation, comfort and style.
“Cooling is as good as any helmet I’ve worn,” reported RoadBikeReview editor Jason Sumner. “The oversized fore vents and large interior channel funnel air out the large exhaust ports. And along with passing all the necessary safety certifications, it comes with MIPS for a little extra measure of protection."
Describing the helmet's comfort and adjustability, Sumner wrote: "The fit is comfortable with ample interior padding and a wide range of adjustability thanks to a dial that’s easy to manipulate even when wearing gloves. Twist right to snug, left to loosen, and listen for the discernable click that makes micro-adjustments a snap."
Sumner also pointed out the Rev’s role in recent Tour de France triumphs by Team Sunweb climber Warren Barguil, who wore it on several mountain stages en route to the King of the Mountains jersey.
Summing it up, Sumner wrote: “Bottom line, the Rev MIPS carries forward Giant’s reputation for delivering quality product at a reasonable price and that’s why it gets an enthusiastic thumbs up from RoadBikeReview.
