Full power that’s fully connected

Full power that’s fully connected. The new Trance Advanced E+ and its integrated E+ System were engineered as one, and you feel it from the first pedal stroke. The frame, suspension, powertrain and software work together to deliver instant power from 0 rpm. You get sustained support on long climbs and controlled grip that keeps you connected to the trail.

The best days on the trail have a little bit of everything. And when you’re out there—on steep climbs, hard-charging descents, and constantly changing terrain—it’s not just about how much power you have. It’s how you can use it. The new Trance Advanced E+ brings it all together. It combines full-power assistance with total control and real-world durability, so you can charge harder, carry more speed, and push new limits on challenging terrain.

Advanced Control

Raw power matters, but it’s the smooth balance of torque and control that truly shapes your ride. While most E-MTBs must compromise their suspension designs around off-the-shelf motors, we engineered the SyncDrive Pro 4 motor and Maestro suspension together using a custom motor housing to accommodate Maestro’s proven dual-link suspension kinematics.

Made for Maestro
Full-power E-MTBs are often built around third-party motors, and their suspension systems can be compromised. Not the Trance Advanced E+. A custom motor housing, co-developed with Yamaha, was designed specifically to free up the pivot placement that makes Maestro suspension stand out. That means the mixed-path axle curve and floating pivot efficiency remain, working in unison with the SyncDrive Pro 4 motor to give you an optimal blend of full power and smooth control.

Full-Power Optimised Maestro
Power is nothing without traction. The Trance Advanced E+ features Maestro suspension that’s engineered for full-power with refined kinematics that prioritise traction. The anti-squat curve neutralises intense chain tension, keeping the rear tyre glued to the trail and converting 120Nm of torque into pure traction. The lower anti-rise curve decouples braking forces so the suspension tracks freely across all impacts. It’s how 120Nm of torque actually makes it to the ground.

Synchronised Power
The new Synchronised Power Matrix reads torque, cadence, speed, slope, power and acceleration in real time. These six parameters feed a system that’s tuned across six precision settings: torque, power (support from 0–500%), flow mode, acceleration, responsiveness and overrun. There are six riding modes: Eco, Tour, Active, Sport, Power and Boost, plus fully custom profiles. That means you can tune the system to your riding, not the other way around.

Traction Control
Traction Control distinguishes genuine wheel slip from ordinary trail noise, using four parameters to ensure that it only engages when necessary. When you’re climbing a steep trail and the rear wheel breaks loose, the response is fast and precise. It locks you into the sweet spot for traction, followed by smooth power recovery to regain grip. As a result, your forward momentum is preserved rather than interrupted.

ALWAYS-ON POWER

The 48V SyncDrive Pro 4 delivers 120Nm from the first crank of your pedals, starting at 0 rpm, and holds output where other motors taper.

SyncDrive Pro 4
The new 48V SyncDrive Pro 4 is a torque-based, zero-cadence motor. Rider input converts to forward momentum instantly: a 0.28-second response time paired with a 1:5 support ratio for up to 500% assistance. At just 2.4kg, it punches out 120Nm of torque and 850W of peak power across the full cadence range, making it one of the most torque-dense and responsive motors available.

Peak torque and power are easy to advertise, but most motors only deliver them within a narrow pedaling window. The Trance Advanced E+ is built around what actually matters on the trail: sustained power delivery, no matter how you pedal.A 48V system with heat-resistant internals and Smart Gateway thermal control holds output from 0 to 140 rpm

ACTIVE TRAIL CHASSIS

The Trance Advanced E+ frameset is the lightest full-power E-MTB chassis ever from Giant. Inner-molding technologies carried over from our Advanced SL frame program produce an ultralight front triangle with a smooth-wall inner molding—with shell etching and fiber perforation—for a clean, interference-free fit around the full-power 840Wh battery.

The rear triangle is a highly engineered, minimalist structure with a 6% material reduction over the previous generation. This 200g weight reduction, paired with a short 443mm chainstay length, helps make the new Trance Advanced E+ more agile and nimble on the trail.

Powering the system is the EnergyPak Smart 840, delivering 840Wh of capacity in a compact 3.7kg package. Its 375 Wh/L high energy density means more power with less bulk, helping the bike feel lighter and more agile on the trail. At the core of the 48V system are 22700-B battery cells delivering high energy density while meeting the industry’s highest safety standards.

EnergyPak Plus 280
For bigger days, the EnergyPak Plus 280 range extender boosts total capacity to 1,120Wh. Available as an aftermarket add-on, it bolts on using standard bottle cage bosses, so it’s quick to attach or remove. You choose: run the 840Wh battery for everyday rides, or add the range extender when you want to ride farther, climb higher, and make the most of a full day on the trail.

FULL-POWER CONFIDENCE

More power and torque lead to more stress on everything. The new Trance Advanced E+ is built to handle the forces of full-power E-MTB riding with engineered durability across the board. The new TRX and TRA HD WheelSystems feature titanium ratchet hubs 20-25% stronger than previous generation, plus a KMC chain with 35% stronger pins. The EnergyPak 840 battery has a 2,300-cycle lifespan. And it’s all backed by Giant’s global retailer and service network.

With 120Nm of torque driving through the rear wheel, the HD WheelSystems are built to handle the added forces of full-power E-MTB riding. The titanium ratchet is 20% stronger than the previous-generation WheelSystem, with 25% greater maximum strength than the leading benchmark hub—right at the point of engagement.

LONGER LASTING BATTERY & SMART CHARGER
Advanced cell and packaging technology, smart charging and a battery management system built to the industry’s highest safety standards help the EnergyPak deliver lasting performance over years of hard riding. Smart Charger X makes charging simple at home or on the go. It mounts to a wall or handlebar, with a built-in cable spool to keep things tidy, while smart charging technology improves efficiency, reduces risk, and helps protect battery life over time.

TESTED WHERE IT’S BUILT

Because Giant develops the Trance Advanced E+ as a complete system, every part can be engineered, manufactured and tested to work together—from the frame and motor tuning to the battery, wheels and software.

Impact, strength and fatigue testing take place at Giant’s own manufacturing facility. Motor dyno testing, torque-curve mapping, 30,000km of wear testing, and full battery validation are carried out at Giant headquarters. By testing the bike as a complete system, Giant can refine how every part performs together, giving riders full-power performance they can count on.
