The Propel Advanced Pro sits alongside the flagship Advanced SL and Advanced series in Giant’s aero road range. Developed with a full-system approach, the range brings together the frameset, cockpit and wheels to target higher top-end speed, rapid acceleration and sustained efficiency.
“Responsive on the Climbs”
Testing the Propel on varied roads, Kerton highlighted how its low weight translates into lively performance when climbing and accelerating.
“It feels responsive on the climbs, and it accelerates very well too,” he wrote.
The review also recognised the frame’s stiffness, helping riders put power down efficiently when pushing the pace.
Precise Handling at Speed
Kerton praised the Propel’s direct steering and quick changes of direction, finding it easy to hold a line at speed while maintaining control on slower sections.
He described it as “a rewarding bike to ride”, highlighting the combination of performance, geometry and low weight.
A Considered Race Setup
The SRAM Force AXS groupset impressed with fast, precise shifting and powerful braking. Kerton also welcomed the comfortable hand positions offered by Giant’s integrated Contact SLR 0 Aero cockpit.
Completing the build, the Obsidian Pulse finish drew praise for its appearance in sunlight, revealing a deep purple colour with a metallic sparkle.
The result adds another positive review to a Propel range that has earned recognition from cycling publications worldwide.
