Ian Beasant, Managing Director of Giant UK, has completed a 32-day personal challenge raising money for Cransley Hospice – he took on the venture after turning fifty. The challenge included running the London marathon, riding 1032 miles from John O’Groats to Lands End (JOGLE) and drinking 50 ales from 50 different breweries. Following a disciplined training schedule, he completed the London Marathon in 4 hours and 15 minutes even managing to run an extra mile and a half! He rode JOGLE with his cousin, Simon Allison, finishing the ride in 11 days, supported by friends and family along the route. The 50 ales from 50 breweries required less training and was Ian’s moment to shine like a star.
Ian and Simon have been overwhelmed by the messages of support and generosity for Cransley Hospice who look after people with life-limiting illness and cared for Ian's late Father Chas Beasant.
