The Defy Advanced Pro 0 has been awarded the 'Best For Comfort' award in the 2019 Bike Of The Year contest conducted by Cycling Plus. The Defy has been updated for 2019 and this was acknowledged by the Cycling Plus team who wrote 'it's evolved but the Defy is still one of the best of its breed' and awarded the bike five stars.
The innovative D-Fuse composite seatpost, together with the Contact SLR D-Fuse composite handlebar are specially designed to work as a system and add compliance which reduces road shocks and vibrations. The updated frame design is also integrated for disc brakes, with flat mounts and 12mm front and rear thru-axles, as well as clearance for high-volume tyres up to 32c which can aid comfort.
The bike also comes equipped with the all-new PowerPro power meter which is a fully integrated, dual-sided power meter able to measure power output, pedal balance, force angle and cadence.
Cycling Plus described the bike as a 'power meter-equipped king of comfort' and concluded that 'if you're not to race but still want to get round that sportive, fondo, charity ride or club run as quickly as possible, the Defy comes with a specification unmatched at this price.'
