Reviews & Product News

BikeRadar selected the new Reign 29 for its 2020 Bike of the Year awards, giving it 4 (out of 5) stars and claiming after a thorough test session that the enduro machine with 29-inch wheels “offers fast, reactive handling and can cover ground with serious pace.”

Tester Robin Weaver detailed all the technical features of the Reign 29, which is built on a lightweight ALUXX SL aluminum frame with 146mm of Maestro rear suspension and 160mm up front plus updated geometry that’s optimized for its 29-inch wheels. To get a feel for how it performs, he rode it in on trails in the U.K. and Spain.

“I rode the Reign on a wide variety of terrain, spanning everything from natural, technical trails littered with wet roots and rocks, through bike-park style tracks with high-speed jumps, berms and rock gardens,” Weaver wrote. “Point the Reign downhill and its eagerness to accelerate and get moving is instantly apparent. Put the power through the pedals and you feel like you’re up to speed in no time at all. The taut feel through the frame coupled with the supportive, progressive suspension makes for a really reactive, agile ride that’ll allow you to change direction in a split second and with little in the way of rider effort.”
