Fingers crossed it looks like we are about to go back Cross Country (XCO) racing in Canada. As some restrictions start to lift, Cycling BC held some invitational test events to help with selecting a team to compete at the Canada Cup events in Quebec on July 10th (St-Félicien) and July 17th (Sherbrooke). All 3 of our team, Noah Rubuliak(U-17), Lief Rodgers (U-19) and Cody Scott (U-23) have been selected to make the trip with the goal of reaching the podium. This is a great step for all the riders who have stayed focused and fit during the pandemic.
Also joining the Cycling BC team is our Liv Cycling Canada Off-Road Team member Geza Rodgers. Liv Cycling Canada/Pedalhead Cycle Works U-23 rider Sidney McGill will also compete as she prepares for the upcoming Cyclocross season.
Later in the season, Cody Scott and Lief Rodgers focus will shift to U-23 Cyclocross where both will aim to compete for the 2022 Cyclocross World Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas (Jan 28-30).
