Our new SyncDrive Pro 2 electric bike motors are co-developed with Yamaha and optimized for the Giant E-bikes they are paired with. The motors have a compact shape, and at just 2.7kg they are lighter than the previous generation. These premium motors also deliver increased torque output (85Nm) with reduced noise levels while retaining the instant engagement and narrow Q-factor that improve pedaling performance.

SyncDrive Pro 2 also blends into our frames perfectly and gives you an extra 37mm of extra bottom bracket clearance, without effecting Q-factor. It also comes with Giant’s Smart Assist automatic adaptive support mode, as well as intelligent walk assist.

Q-FACTOR

Q-factor measures the horizontal distance between your pedals. A high Q-factor can cause strain on the knees and make the riding experience feel less natural. To prevent injuries, and to make the riding experience feel smooth and natural, Giant E-bikes with SyncDrive Pro motors are designed with the same Q factor as conventional bikes.

INTELLIGENT WALK ASSIST

SyncDrive Pro motors include an intelligent walk assist feature. This mode provides just enough forward momentum to help the rider move over obstacles, which is especially helpful on technical trails with steep hike-a-bike climbs.

MADE FOR MAESTRO

The motor shape and mounting positions of SyncDrive Pro motors have been designed for easy integration with Giant Maestro suspension systems. There is no interference with the suspension linkage, and the motors allow maximum bottom bracket clearance for off-road riding.
