Systemoptimiert
Der Rahmen, die Laufräder, das Cockpit und andere Teile wurden so konzipiert, entwickelt und getestet, dass sie als System optimal funktionieren. Die brandneue OverDrive Aero Gabelschaft Technologie wird mit einem Contact SLR AeroLight Vorbau und einem Contact SLR Lenker kombiniert, um eine interne Kabelführung zu ermöglichen, die auch die Top Cap, Kabel und Spacer in ein aerodynamisches, bedienungsfreundliches Setup integriert.

Dank eines besseren Verhältnisses von Steifigkeit zu Gewicht als bei der Vorgängergeneration, der neuen Form der Aero-Rohre und einem geringeren Gesamtgewicht bietet dieses kompromisslose Rennrad eine explosive Beschleunigung und eine unnachgiebige Tretsteifigkeit. Das Ergebnis ist eine rennentscheidende Leistung in den entscheidenden Momenten.
Ganzheitliche Aerodynamik
Alle Rohrformen wurden mithilfe von Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)-Modellen und Windkanaltests entwickelt und konstruiert. Von der abgestumpften Ellipsenform der Rahmenrohre bis hin zum neuen Cockpitdesign und der Integration der Komponenten - alles zusammen ergibt ein schlankeres Profil, das dem Rahmenset einen Aero-Vorteil von 2,28 Watt gegenüber der vorherigen Generation verleiht.

The flagship TCR model combines its legendary ride quality with new system integration and construction methods to make it more efficient than ever. The down tube is significantly redesigned for improved aerodynamics, and a new integrated cockpit, including the OverDrive Aero steerer tube and Contact SLR AeroLight stem, offers internal cable routing to further minimize drag. From the integrated seatpost to the CADEX WheelSystem with 40mm deep carbon rims, every component is chosen and tested for system optimization.

ADVANCED SL COMPOSITE
Professional-grade raw carbon is woven in the Giant composite factory using the most advanced engineering and construction methods. Continuous Fiber Technology adds strength and minimizes weight.

ONE-PIECE MOLD
New construction technique uses a single bladder (as opposed to previous generation’s three bladders) to create a one-piece front triangle. The result is reduced weight without compromising stiffness or aerodynamic shaping.

TRUNCATED ELLIPSE TUBING
Strategically engineered airfoil sections in the frame and fork, developed through CFD and wind-tunnel testing, improve aerodynamic efficiency, reducing wind drag at a wide range of yaw angles compared to traditional teardrop shaped tubes.

FULL COMPOSITE FORK
Advanced SL-grade composite fork features a symmetric design and aero shaping, along with disc-brake integration and increased clearance for tires up to 33mm. This new design makes it lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic.

OVERDRIVE AERO
The D-shaped fork steerer tube and corresponding spacers provide an extremely aerodynamic, easy-to-service system of internally routed brake and derailleur cables.

MEGADRIVE
An oversized down tube and top tube provide superior front end lateral and torsional stiffness. The precisely engineered, rectangular shaped down tube yields unprecedented steering precision and pedaling performance.

Technologien
Advanced SL Composite Technologie
Diese Carbonfaser des höchsten Grades wird verwendet, um ein exklusives Rahmenmaterial aus Verbundstoff herzustellen, das im eigenen Werk gewebt und verarbeitet wird. Bei der Carbon-Nanotube-Technologie (CNT) wird ein mikroskopisch kleines Polymer der speziellen Harzmischung von GIANT hinzugefügt. Diese CNT-Teilchen fungieren als Stützfeiler in Miniaturgröße und stärken die Verbundschichten. Mit CNT behandelte Rahmen besitzen eine 14 Mal höhere Stoßfestigkeit als Rahmen ohne CNT und sind bis zu 100 g leichter.
Integrierte Sattelstütze
Als wichtiger Performance-Faktor im gesamten Rahmen entwickelt, spart die integrierte Sattelstütze bis zu 45 Gramm gegenüber Standard-Composite-Stützen, während sie die Aerodynamik und Vibrationsdämpfung verbessert.
