2019 marks a new chapter for Simon Geschke with the German changing teams for the first time in his 10-year career. The 32-year-old, whose trademark beard makes him recognizable in the peloton, brings a wealth of experience to CCC Team, having raced 12 grand tours and 18 monuments. He had a solo stage win at the 2015 Tour de France, arguably the highlight of his career to date. Geschke has made a name as a team player. He played a key role in his team’s Giro d’Italia win in 2017 and second-place at the Tour de France in 2018. His all-rounder abilities make him particularly suited to the Ardennes classics as well as grand tour stages.
