GARANTIEINFORMATIONEN

Die folgende beschränkte Garantie gilt für alle aktuellen GIANT & Liv Fahrräder, die ab 2012 hergestellt wurden. Bei Fahrrädern aus dem Jahr 2011 und älteren Modellen findest du die entsprechenden Garantieinformationen in der Bedienungsanleitung oder bei GIANT oder deinem autorisierten GIANT-Händler.

GIANT Bicycle, Inc. übernimmt keine Garantie für individuelle Daten der Seriennummern. Im Falle eines Verlusts oder Diebstahls werden deine persönlichen Aufzeichnungen benötigt. Bitte bewahre deinen Kaufbeleg für den Fall auf, dass ein Garantiefall registriert werden muss.

Wichtig: Bitte notiere dir den Modellnamen und die Seriennummer deines GIANT Fahrrads.

Position der Rahmen-Seriennummer

Du findest die Rahmennummer deines GIANT Fahrrads auf dem Sitzrohr, unter dem Oberrohr, in der Nähe des Tretlagergehäuses (Kurbelgehäuse), auf der Unterseite des Tretlagergehäuses oder auf dem linken hinteren Ausfallende (Hinterradnabe).

Falls du Schwierigkeiten hast, erkundige dich bei deinem GIANT-Vertragshändler, wo sich die Seriennummer an deinem Fahrrad befindet. Bewahre deinen Kaufbeleg auf; dieser Nachweis hilft dir auch bei polizeilichen Ermittlungen oder Versicherungsansprüchen.

Erforderliche Montage beim Kauf
Diese Garantie gilt nur für Fahrräder und Rahmensätze, die bei einem autorisierten GIANT-Händler neu gekauft und von diesem Händler zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufs montiert wurden.

Registrierung und erweiterte Garantieabdeckung
Ab dem 1. August 2022 erhalten registrierte Fahrräder erweiterte Vorteile, wie im Folgenden beschrieben. Ein registriertes Fahrrad bedeutet, dass es vom ursprünglichen Besitzer innerhalb von 90 Tagen nach dem Kaufdatum online registriert wurde. Du kannst dein Fahrrad auf der GIANT Website registrieren.

Eingeschränkte Garantie
GIANT garantiert dem Erstbesitzer unter eingeschränkten Bedingungen, dass der Rahmen, die starre Gabel, die Originalbauteile, die Fahrerausrüstung oder die Serviceausrüstung jedes neuen GIANT-Produkts (GIANT, Liv, Momentum), einschließlich E-Bikes und Rahmensets der Marke GIANT, für die unten angegebenen Zeiträume frei von Material- und Verarbeitungsfehlern sind. Diese Garantie gilt nur für Fahrräder, Rahmensätze und Ausrüstung, die ursprünglich neu bei einem autorisierten GIANT-Händler oder in den Online-Shops der GIANT-Gruppe gekauft und montiert wurden.

Warranty for 3rd-party components which are equipped to Giant’s complete bike, is covered by the warranty guidelines of the original brand. (*Downhill bikes are excluded. )

Second owner warranty

To be environmentally responsible and encourage a circular economy, registered bicycles will have the original Frame warranty extended to the second owner for 2 years (other successive owners are not included and other parts are not included). The warranty period remains effective from the original purchase date or the transfer date by/from the first owner.

Non-Giant branded parts

Also known as 3rd-party component that are equipped to Giant’s complete bike, including suspension forks, rear shock, and group set, shall be covered exclusively by the stated warranty of their original manufacturer.

Limited remedy

Unless otherwise provided, the sole remedy under the above warranty, or any implied warranty, is limited to the replacement of defective parts with those of equal or greater value at the sole discretion of Giant. This warranty extends from the date of purchase, applies only to the original owner, and is not transferable unless the bicycle is registered. In no event shall Giant be responsible for any direct, incidental or consequential damages, including, without limitation, damages for personal injury, property damage, or economic losses, whether based on contract, warranty, negligence, product liability, or any other theory.

Exclusions

The above warranty, or any implied warranty, does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear on parts such as tires, chains, brakes, cables and gearwheels in situations where there are no assembly or material defects.

  • Improper maintenance, assembly or installation.

  • Corrosion.

  • Use of the bicycle for abnormal, competition, and / or commercial activities or for purposes other than those for which the bicycle was designed.

  • Damage caused by failing to follow the owner’s manual.

  • Damage or failure due to accident, neglect, abuse or abnormal and excessive misuse.

  • Improper alteration or installation of components, parts, or accessories not originally intended for or compatible with the bicycle as sold.

  • All specifications on our bikes have been carefully selected, tested and verified to ensure compatibility and optimal performance. It is strongly recommended to always have your bike frequently serviced, inspected and repaired by an authorized dealer or qualified bicycle specialists. Modifications or change to non-original specification may result in compromised compatibility, reduction of performance, failure to function safely or in worst case, injuries to the rider.

  • Paint finish and decal damage resulting from taking part in competitions, jumping, downhill and/or training for such activities or events, or as a result of exposing the bike to, or riding the bike in, severe conditions or climates.

Except as is provided by this warranty and subject to all additional warranties, Giant and its employees and agents shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including incidental and consequential loss or damage caused by negligence or default) arising from or concerning any Giant product.

Giant makes no other warranties, express or implied. All implied warranties, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are limited in duration to that of the express warranties stated above.

Any claim against this warranty must be made through an Authorized Giant Dealer or distributor. The purchase receipt or other proof of the date of purchase is required before a warranty claim may be processed.

Claims made outside the country of purchase may be subject to fees and additional restrictions.

Warranty duration and details may differ by country. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which may vary from place to place. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.
