Cutting-Edge Composite Assembly
Up to 150 small individual composite swatches are placed using robotic layup assembly. The swatches are laser-cut so that smaller, ultra-precise sections can be used, resulting in lighter weight framesets. Our Continuous Fiber Technology adds strength while reducing weight. Carbon Nanotube Technology resin improves impact resistance, and our Fusion Process creates lighter, stronger frame junctions.

The most advanced steerer tube technology in today’s Giant bikes. Designed to offer unprecedented front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/2” lower, 1 1/4” upper) and tapered steerer tube work in harmony to provide supreme steering stiffness.

MegaDrive
A massive rectangular downtube forms the link between the OverDrive 2 headtube area and the PowerCore bottom bracket. This precisely engineered, rectangular shape yields unprecedented steering and pedaling stiffness while optimizing aerodynamic flow over a standard water bottle.

PowerCore
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter-wide bottom-bracket design. Symmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-drivesides.

All-New Tubeless WheelSystems
Engineered with proprietary Dynamic Balanced Lacing, all-new composite WheelSystems are set up factory tubeless and provide improved efficiency, comfort and control.

Hookless Rim Design
Hookless rim design enhances overall durability, and offers a wider inner rim width without adding extra weight. It also helps to create a more round tire shape providing superior grip and handling as well as added sidewall support when cornering.
Technologien
ADVANCED SL COMPOSITE TECHNOLOGIE
Diese Carbonfaser des höchsten Grades wird verwendet, um ein exklusives Rahmenmaterial aus Verbundstoff herzustellen, das im eigenen Werk gewebt und verarbeitet wird. Bei der Carbon-Nanotube-Technologie (CNT) wird ein mikroskopisch kleines Polymer der speziellen Harzmischung von GIANT hinzugefügt. Diese CNT-Teilchen fungieren als Stützfeiler in Miniaturgröße und stärken die Verbundschichten. Mit CNT behandelte Rahmen besitzen eine 14 Mal höhere Stoßfestigkeit als Rahmen ohne CNT und sind bis zu 100 g leichter.
COMPACT ROAD DESIGN
Das Compact Road Design wurde in den 1990er Jahren von GIANT mit dem professionellen Team ONCE eingeführt und revolutionierte das Aussehen von High-Performance-Rennrädern für immer. Ein nach unten abfallendes Oberrohr erzeugt kleinere Front- und Heckdreiecke für ein leichteres, steiferes Bike. Es erleichtert Fahrern aller Größen die perfekte Passform.
INTEGRIERTE SATTELSTÜTZE
Als wichtiger Performance-Faktor im gesamten Rahmen entwickelt, spart die integrierte Sattelstütze bis zu 45 Gramm gegenüber Standard-Composite-Stützen, während sie die Aerodynamik und Vibrationsdämpfung verbessert.
MEGADRIVE
Das MegaDrive Unterrohr erhöht die Kombination mit dem Overdrive/Overdrive 2 die Rahmensteifigkeit. Der Durchmesser des Unterrohrs ist soweit vergrössert wie es möglich ist. Durch die geringen Wandstärken ist das MegaDrive Unterrohr aber dennoch sehr leicht.
OVERDRIVE 2
Die modernste Gabelschaft-Technologie bei den heutigen GIANT-Rädern. Für beispiellose Lenkpräzision gebaut, sorgen die extragrossen Steuersatzlager des Systems (1 1/2" unten, 1 1/4" oben) und der konische Gabelschaft für unerreichte Steifigkeit im Vorderbau.
POWERCORE
Das PowerCore Innenlagergehäuse ist ein weiterer Punkt, der zur hohen Rahmensteifigkeit bei Giant beiträgt. Der weite Sitz der Innenlagerschalen und die gute Verbindung um MegaDrive Unterrohr erhöhen die Rahmensteifigkeit.
