Der komplett überarbeitete Composite‑Rahmen ist 89 Gramm leichter als sein Vorgänger und bietet ein um 7,95 Prozent verbessertes Steifigkeits‑Gewichts‑Verhältnis. So kannst du Anstiege effizient meistern und jedes Watt optimal in Vortrieb umsetzen. Die integrierte Lenker‑Vorbau‑Kombination ist konsequent auf maximale Effizienz und hohen Komfort ausgelegt. Das neu positionierte Hinterbaudämpfungselement ist halb ins Oberrohr integriert, spart zusätzlich Gewicht und schafft Platz für einen zweiten Flaschenhalter.
SYSTEM-INTEGRATION
Die neue, einteilige integrierte Lenker‑Vorbau‑Kombination sorgt für spürbar mehr Nachgiebigkeit, dämpft Stösse und Vibrationen und verbessert so Kontrolle und Komfort für die Hände. Sie ist in zwei Varianten erhältlich: als Contact SLR XC Integrated aus Verbundwerkstoff sowie als Contact SL XC Integrated aus Aluminium. Beide Versionen bieten die gleiche nahtlose Kabelführung und eine vielseitige Grössenauswahl mit 780 mm Lenkerbreite und Vorbaulängen von 50 bis 90 mm.

ADVANCED FORGED COMPOSITE
A high-pressure molding process is used to produce a complex shaped carbon-fiber upper rocker arm that is lighter, stiffer and stronger than an aluminum version.

ADJUSTABLE GEOMETRY
A two-position flip chip lets you adjust frame geometry and fine-tune the handling for your riding style and terrain. The High setting locks in a steeper head and seat tube angle, along with a higher bottom bracket, for sharp, aggressive handling on tight, technical terrain. The Low setting reduces the head and seat tube angles and lowers the bottom bracket, offering slightly more relaxed handling and greater control for high-speed descents.

TWO BOTTLES
New frame design has space for a second water bottle. Integrated mounts on the the seat tube allow you to carry more hydration without having to wear a pack—a major upgrade for marathon races or longer XC rides.

OVERDRIVE
Designed to provide precise front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings (1 1/2” lower and 1 1/8” upper) and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness.

A massive down tube and oversized top tube provide superior front end lateral and torsional stiffness. The precisely engineered, rectangular shaped down tube yields unprecedented steering precision and pedaling performance.

POWERCORE
A massively oversized bottom bracket area features a fully integrated, 92mm wide design. Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and increased stability on the non-driveside.

Advanced Forged Composite Technology
Mit diesem Hochdruck-Formverfahren werden Komponenten mit komplexen Formen produziert, die leichter und robuster sind als Teile aus Aluminium oder Standarad-Composite. Der Schlüssel zur Advanced Forged Composite-Technologie ist eine multidirektionale Carbon-Konstruktion und ein innovatives Formverfahren, bei dem extremer Druck eingesetzt wird.
ADVANCED SL COMPOSITE TECHNOLOGIE
Diese Carbonfaser des höchsten Grades wird verwendet, um ein exklusives Rahmenmaterial aus Verbundstoff herzustellen, das im eigenen Werk gewebt und verarbeitet wird. Bei der Carbon-Nanotube-Technologie (CNT) wird ein mikroskopisch kleines Polymer der speziellen Harzmischung von GIANT hinzugefügt. Diese CNT-Teilchen fungieren als Stützfeiler in Miniaturgröße und stärken die Verbundschichten. Mit CNT behandelte Rahmen besitzen eine 14 Mal höhere Stoßfestigkeit als Rahmen ohne CNT und sind bis zu 100 g leichter.

Der Original-Oversized-Gabelschaft von GIANT. Für Lenkpräzision gebaut, liefern die extragrossen Steuersatzlager (1 1/4" unten, 1 1/8" oben für die Straße, 1 1/2" unten und 1 1/8" oben für Mountain) und der konische Gabelschaft optimale Steifigkeit im Vorderbau.
POWERCORE
Das PowerCore Innenlagergehäuse ist ein weiterer Punkt, der zur hohen Rahmensteifigkeit bei Giant beiträgt. Der weite Sitz der Innenlagerschalen und die gute Verbindung um MegaDrive Unterrohr erhöhen die Rahmensteifigkeit.
MEGADRIVE
Das MegaDrive Unterrohr erhöht die Kombination mit dem Overdrive/Overdrive 2 die Rahmensteifigkeit. Der Durchmesser des Unterrohrs ist soweit vergrössert wie es möglich ist. Durch die geringen Wandstärken ist das MegaDrive Unterrohr aber dennoch sehr leicht.
