This new motor features a magnesium casing that reduces weight by 50g. It weighs just 2.6kg and delivers 85Nm of torque while retaining the instant engagement that characterizes SyncDrive Pro motors. It’s also engineered for a reduced noise level and quiet performance. The motor shape and dimensions allow for a narrow Q factor to ensure a natural pedaling position with minimal strain on the knees.

SyncDrive Pro Mg also blends into our frames perfectly and gives you an extra 37mm of extra bottom bracket clearance, without effecting Q-factor.

Q-FACTOR

Q-factor measures the horizontal distance between your pedals. A high Q-factor can cause strain on the knees and make the riding experience feel less natural. To prevent injuries, and to make the riding experience feel smooth and natural, Giant E-bikes with SyncDrive Pro motors are designed with the same Q factor as conventional bikes.

INTELLIGENT WALK ASSIST

SyncDrive Pro motors include an intelligent walk assist feature. This mode provides just enough forward momentum to help the rider move over obstacles, which is especially helpful on technical trails with steep hike-a-bike climbs.

MADE FOR MAESTRO

The motor shape and mounting positions of SyncDrive Pro motors have been designed for easy integration with Giant Maestro suspension systems. There is no interference with the suspension linkage, and the motors allow maximum bottom bracket clearance for off-road riding.

Smart Assist

This automatic adaptive support mode system uses six sensors and advanced algorithms to determine the optimum power support needed on variable terrain. Smart Assist also maximizes efficiency by not using unnecessary energy. And since it always delivers just the right amount of pedaling support, it also improves rider efficiency.
