PURCHASING & LOGISTIC OFFICER - FULL TIME

Location: North Vancouver, BC

Job Overview: The Purchasing & Logistic Officer will work closely with Sales/TM & Operation teams to ensure that bike & gear are readily available to meet booking and in-season orders requirements. Works with manufacturing facility, warehouses, and third party logistics to maximize customer satisfaction and inventory control.

Job Description:

  1. Work with domestic and international vendors to place and adjust purchase orders to meet forecast and inventory goals.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate upkeep of purchase order information for product including changes in the production and delivery time, quantity etc.
  3. Provide support for item master file for product line including part number, UPC, description, cost, selling price, production facility etc.
  4. Match PO’s to vendor order confirmation and work with Product department to resolve discrepancies.
  5. Provide tracking and assistance in managing inbound freight and deliveries.
  6. Process container load plans and shipping schedules, and initiate traffic files with appropriate shipping documents.
  7. Work with Operation teams in resolving any related shipping and invoicing issues
  8. Additional responsibilities as defined or requested by Giant Management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain/logistics, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ year of supply chain / inventory management experience
  • Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges
  • Good negotiation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian independent bicycle retail environment
  • Good sense of time organization and urgency
  • Advanced analytical and attention to detail skills
  • Chinese language skills are an asset but not a requirement

After Sales Quality Assurance (ASQA) – Full-time

Location: North Vancouver, BC

Job Overview: With customer service being our top priority, the associate must provide exemplary skills in both product knowledge and relationship building. Ability to work in a fast paced and energy filled environment, with a positive, team focused attitude is paramount.

Job Description:

  1. Assist with resolving our dealers quality issues
  2. Provide the highest level of customer service to our dealers, end consumers and internal team members
  3. Create a client base of customer relationships
  4. Order fulfillment for both part and service items
  5. Manage and filter incoming information to standard requirements
  6. Communicate with our factories regarding quality issues
  7. Implement rework projects
  8. Prioritize fluctuating workload
  9. Assist with yearly inventory count

Job Requirements:

  • Professional telephone etiquette
  • Must have exceptional people skill
  • Technical knowledge of bicycles and components
  • Experience with E-bikes is an asset
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Must work well independently as well as with a team environment
  • Detail oriented and good organizational skills
  • Understanding of business work flow
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects at one time and be results-oriented
  • French language skills beneficial
  • Microsoft AX system experience is an asset
