GEÏNTEGREERDE AERODYNAMICA

This pro-level road bike is made for competitive road riders who obsess over performance—from grand tour pros like Simon Yates to everyday riders trying to reach a new level. The flagship TCR model combines its legendary ride quality with new system integration and construction methods to make it more efficient than ever. The down tube is significantly redesigned for improved aerodynamics, and a new integrated cockpit, including the OverDrive Aero steerer tube and Contact SLR AeroLight stem, offers internal cable routing to further minimize drag. From the integrated seatpost to the CADEX WheelSystem with 40mm deep carbon rims, every component is chosen and tested for system optimization.

ADVANCED SL COMPOSITE
Professional-grade raw carbon is woven in the Giant composite factory using the most advanced engineering and construction methods. Continuous Fiber Technology adds strength and minimizes weight.

ONE-PIECE MOLD
New construction technique uses a single bladder (as opposed to previous generation’s three bladders) to create a one-piece front triangle. The result is reduced weight without compromising stiffness or aerodynamic shaping.

TRUNCATED ELLIPSE TUBING
Strategically engineered airfoil sections in the frame and fork, developed through CFD and wind-tunnel testing, improve aerodynamic efficiency, reducing wind drag at a wide range of yaw angles compared to traditional teardrop shaped tubes.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING
Frame/handlebar/stem feature unique cable porting for sleek, non-cluttered appearance and easier adjustability.

FULL COMPOSITE FORK
Advanced SL-grade composite fork features a symmetric design and aero shaping, along with disc-brake integration and increased clearance for tires up to 33mm. This new design makes it lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic.

OVERDRIVE AERO
The D-shaped fork steerer tube and corresponding spacers provide an extremely aerodynamic, easy-to-service system of internally routed brake and derailleur cables.

INTEGRATED SEATPOST
Specifically engineered for competitive road racers, Variant’s refined shape and integrated design reduces weight, improves aero performance, and adds roadsmoothing compliance.

MEGADRIVE
An oversized down tube and top tube provide superior front end lateral and torsional stiffness. The precisely engineered, rectangular shaped down tube yields unprecedented steering precision and pedaling performance.

POWERCORE
The oversized bottom bracket area features a fully integrated 86mm wide design. Symmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.

Advanced SL Composite Technology
Het carbon van Giant wordt geweven in onze eigen composietfabriek met behulp van onze meest geavanceerde engineering- en constructiemethoden, waaronder: Continuous Fibre Technology om sterkte toe te voegen en het gewicht te verminderen; Carbon Nanotube Technology-hars om de slagvastheid te verbeteren; en Fusion-proces voor lichtere, sterkere frameverbindingen.
Integrated Seatpost
Ontworpen als een belangrijke prestatiefactor in de totale frameset, bespaart de geïntegreerde zadelpen tot 45 gram in vergelijking met standaard composite zadelpen, terwijl de aerodynamica en de wegligging wordt verbeterd.
