On his 2017 season
"My first year with Team Sunweb was a big success with so many great results from the whole team. My highlight was winning the green jersey at the Tour the France. The road to victory was not only a physical challenge, but also a tactical one. With the help of all my teammates we managed to bring both the green jersey and the climbers jersey to Paris. Working hard, having fun together and winning this during my first year at the team is a dream come true."
"I have always admired the way the team approaches the sport as a team sport. The team has a proven strategy and I’m confident that I will be able to continue my development as a rider here."
