All-Road Fast

An aero-shaped down tube and Advanced-grade composite fork form a sleek profile that cuts through wind while absorbing road shocks and vibrations. The fork design helps keep the front end composed over variable road surfaces. A wide tyre clearance of 43mm (8mm more than the Specialized Allez Comp) lets you run high-volume tyres for a more composed and efficient ride on everything from smooth roads to light gravel.

The Giant P-AR wheels have an all-rounder rim depth of 23mm and robust aluminium construction that's lightweight and strong for everyday use across variable road surfaces. And the 32mm Giant Gavia Fondo 2 tyres come set up tubeless from the factory.

The cockpit setup features internally routed cables running through the Contact AeroLight stem and frameset to further reduce wind drag and create a clean, modern look. Add double-butted tubing, FluidForm shaping and Smooth Weld technology to the frameset, and Contend AR delivers the sleek profile of a modern road bike with the range to go well beyond where the pavement ends.

ADVANCED-GRADE COMPOSITE FORK

The Advanced-grade composite fork is designed to absorb road shocks and vibrations, delivering a smoother ride while reducing hand and arm fatigue on long journeys. Its wide tyre clearance of up to 38mm accommodates high-volume tyres, making it equally capable on rough roads, mixed surfaces, and light gravel adventures.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING

Brake and shifter cables are routed internally through the stem and frameset for aero optimisation and a clean, uncluttered look.

P-AR WHEELS

Strong, lightweight and structurally stiff aluminium wheels with 23mm deep rims deliver versatile all-road speed, efficiency and everyday durability.

ALUXX SL ALUMINIUM

State-of-the-art aluminium material delivers best-in-class strength-to-weight ratios. The frameset features double-butted tubing, FluidForm shaping, and innovative welding technologies including Smooth Weld to give it a high-performance ride quality.

Command Control

An ergonomically designed handlebar optimises hand comfort in every position, from the tops to the hoods to the drops. The shape features an expanded surface area that evenly distributes pressure across the palm and thumb web. The drops carry a 7.2-degree flare for greater confidence and control when you’re descending and cornering, and the Contact AeroLight stem keeps cables routed internally for a clean, integrated cockpit.

Hydraulic disc brakes, with flat mounts and 12mm thru-axles front and rear, deliver consistent, predictable braking power and help minimise hand fatigue on long descents. A proven Shimano drivetrain offers a wide range of gears for optimal pedaling cadence across variable terrain. Size-specific handlebars (400–440mm) and stems (80–110mm) across the XS–XL range mean every rider gets a cockpit that’s built to fit, not just to spec.

DISC-BRAKE INTEGRATION

The frame and fork are engineered specifically for Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, delivering powerful, reliable braking performance in all weather and road conditions.

OverDrive

An oversized fork steerer tube increases front-end stiffness for precise steering at speed, giving you greater control through corners and over uneven terrain.

SHIMANO DRIVETRAIN

Equipped with either the performance-driven Shimano 105 groupset or the reliable and adaptable Shimano Cues drivetrain depending on the model. Both deliver smooth, confident shifting across variable conditions and road surfaces.

ENDURANCE INSPIRED

A D-Fuse composite seatpost absorbs shocks and vibrations from the rear wheel, while up front the Advanced-grade composite fork helps reduce road chatter before it reaches your hands. Together, these proven road-smoothing technologies—borrowed from high-performance Giant road bikes—help minimise fatigue over longer rides.

The Giant Approach saddle uses Particle Flow Technology featuring free-flowing particles held in two separate pockets of padding that conform to your body. The design helps evenly distribute weight and reduces pressure on long rides.

High-volume Gavia Fondo 2 32mm tubeless tyres round it out, letting you run lower tyre pressure for better grip and a smoother ride quality. The Race Shield Kevlar puncture protection helps prevent flats over rugged, unpredictable road surfaces.

D-FUSE TECHNOLOGY

Composite D-shaped seatpost dampens vibrations and absorbs road shocks, resulting in a smooth, compliant ride quality.

32MM TUBELESS TYRES

Giant Gavia Fondo 2 32mm tubeless tyres combine efficient rolling with added grip and cushioning for rough pavement and light gravel. Frame and fork clearance for tyres up to 43mm lets riders add more volume for extra control and grip on more rugged routes.

GIANT APPROACH SADDLE

Particle Flow Technology uses free-moving particles in the padding to adapt to a rider’s body and spread pressure more evenly. The result is greater comfort for everyday rides and longer days in the saddle.
