Motion activation starts pressure monitoring when the bike is moving and powers down when the bike stays still. This helps preserve battery life while keeping the system ready when the ride begins.

PRESSURE FOR ANY TERRAIN

Different surfaces call for different tyre pressure settings. Use these recommendations as a starting point to help tune your ride for better grip, efficiency, comfort and control, while always staying within your tyre’s recommended pressure range.

Gravel road
GRAVEL
A slightly lower pressure can help improve grip and comfort on loose surfaces, keeping the ride smoother and more controlled.
Rocky path
ROCKS
Set a pressure that optimises traction and control while also remaining high enough to protect the rim against impacts that can happen when riding rougher terrain.
Paved road
PAVED PATH
A firmer pressure helps the tyre roll efficiently, keeping your ride smooth and steady on paved paths.
Wet road
WET ROADS
A slightly lower pressure can improve tyre contact, giving you more grip and steadier handling on slick surfaces.

TUNE YOUR PRESSURE TARGETS

Your ideal tyre pressure can change with the route, surface and riding style. Use your compatible RideControl interface to adjust your target pressure directly on the bike, keeping alerts aligned with how you want the ride to feel.

DIAL IN YOUR PRESSURE

Set your preferred front and rear tyre pressure directly through a compatible RideControl interface. Aegis Tyre Checker monitors your chosen range and alerts you when pressure changes, helping you ride with the grip, efficiency and control you want.

Frequently Asked Questions

Follow the official installation guide or video to install Aegis Tyre Checker correctly. It should sit securely on the valve after installation. If you are unsure, or if the tyre loses air after installation, contact your Giant retailer.

Remove the Tyre Checker and check that all adapter parts are correctly installed and not damaged. Reinstall it carefully. If the tyre still loses air, stop using the Tyre Checker and contact your Giant retailer.

A small pressure drop over time is normal for bicycle tyres. If pressure drops faster than usual after installing the Tyre Checker, check the installation and valve area before riding.

No. Do not ride with a tyre that is losing air quickly. Low tyre pressure can affect control, damage the tyre or rim, and may be unsafe.

First, check the LED indicator and battery. If the battery is low, replace the coin cell battery and try again. If Tyre Checker still does not connect, contact your Giant retailer for support.

A green blink every two seconds means Aegis Tyre Checker is active. A red blink every two seconds means the battery is low. A red blink every second means abnormal tyre pressure is detected. Red and green blinking every second means firmware is updating.

Yes. Tyre Checker uses a replaceable CR1632 coin cell battery and is designed for up to 600 active hours, depending on use. Follow the official instructions when replacing the battery.

Not every E-bike supports Tyre Checker. MY26 and newer supported bikes are designed to work with this technology. Check your product information or contact your Giant retailer with your bike model and model year.

Contact your Giant retailer if your tyre continues to lose air, the Tyre Checker or valve looks damaged, connection issues continue after battery replacement, or you are unsure about compatibility or installation.
