Viewed as a benchmark achievement for the bike industry’s highest-performing products, the Design & Innovations Awards brings together select journalists, professional test riders and other industry experts to test products and choose the best in their respective categories.
The Trance X Advanced Pro 29 is a new addition to the Trance family, designed with a longer-travel suspension setup for added control on challenging trails. The full composite frame is engineered for 135mm of rear travel and 150mm up front. It includes a flip chip on the upper rocker arm of its Maestro rear suspension that lets you adjust frame geometry between two positions to match your riding style and terrain.
The D&I Awards team tested the Trance X Advanced Pro 29 1 model, writing: “On the flats, it accelerates quickly and, thanks to the efficient rear end, is able to master difficult climbs on the technical terrain without the rear wheel threatening to lose traction. Head downhill and its character transforms, generating lots of fun from little travel and keeping up problem-free with more descent-focused bikes.”
