Another Podium Finish for Vos!
9 квітня 2012
Marianne Vos of the Rabobank Women’s Team scored a podium finish at the second Energiewacht Tour, a five-day stage race in The Netherlands that concluded Sunday.
Vos, who has two World Cup wins this season, started the race on a high note, finishing third in the 15.3km prologue TT on her Trinity Advanced SL. The next day she moved into the overall race lead when the two TT specialists ahead of her in GC missed the break on a windy 107.3km stage.
Vos, the current Dutch national road champion, carried her lead into Saturday’s team time trial, a 26.5km race against the clock. The team finished third that day, and Vos dropped into third overall. She preserved that standing in the final day of racing, scoring another podium in the new team’s successful first season of racing.
