2014 GLORY

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP PERFORMANCE

World Champions accepts nothing less. Danny Hart and his Giant Factory Off-Road teammates Marcelo Gutierrez and Andrew Neethling helped develop the perfect machine for the most fearsome DH courses in the world. Engineered to conquer all types of terrain—from awe-inspiring World Cup tracks to black diamond backcountry runs—it’s smooth, fast and oozing with confidence.

Show Highlights

1

OverDrive

Giant’s innovative oversized fork steerer-tube design produces razor-sharp handling on the roughest trails. The tapered steerer and oversized bearings (1-1/8-inch top, 1-1/2-inch bottom) boost torsional steering stiffness—15 percent compared to straight steerer-tube designs—giving you more confidence and control when you need it most.

2

FluidForm

This complex aluminum process of extruding, shaping and butting raw ALUXX SL tubes allows Giant to engineer frames that meet specific performance demands. The result is a stronger, lighter frame structure that eliminates the need for weight-adding gussets used by many frame manufacturers.

3

ALUXX SL aluminum

Formed from raw materials in Giant’s aluminum forging facility, this proprietary alloy is 30 percent stiffer than standard 6061-series aluminum. The increased stiffness allows engineers to use less material to produce lighter frames with no compromises strength or durability.

4

Maestro Suspension

Four strategically positioned pivot points and two linkages make Maestro the most active and efficient suspension system in the world. With its linear spring curve and near vertical wheel path, it’s sensitive to small bumps and smooth on bigger hits. And the floating pivot point allows Maestro to remain active, even under heavy braking.

5

World Champion Geometry

Developed, tested and raced by World Champion Danny Hart, the 2013 Glory features reengineered frame geometry including a 63.5-degree head angle, lower bottom bracket height and longer wheelbase. The ultimate combo for stability and speed.

EVOLUTION OF SPEED

Everything about the 2014 Giant Glory says speed. Radically shaped, FluidForm ALUXX SL tubes form a lightweight, super-strong chassis. The OverDrive steerer tube design produces razor-sharp front-end handling. The plush, always-active Maestro Suspension eats up rocks and ruts and smoothes out rough landings. Every angle and tube is meticulously engineered and tested to give Giant's pro downhillers the edge they need.
