OverDrive 2
Giant’s unique oversized fork steerer-tube design increases front-end stiffness and enhances steering performance. The tapered steerer tube uses oversized bearings (1 1/4-inch top, 1 1/2-inch bottom) and boosts torsional steering stiffness by up to 30 percent.
Internal Cable Routing
Front and rear derailleur cables are internally routed through the frame, away from dirt and debris, for integrated shifting performance and clean aesthetics.
Advanced-Grade Composite
The front triangle is handcrafted with high-performance composite material from T-700 raw carbon fiber. This material, custom made in Giant’s own composite factory, saves 185 grams over the Anthem X 29er aluminum model and increases frame steering stiffness 7 percent.
Monocoque Construction
The front triangle, which includes the downtube, headtube, toptube and seattube, is handbuilt and molded as a single unit for optimal structural integrity.
ALUXX SL rear swingarm
The rear swingarm is engineered with hydroformed ALUXX SL aluminum material. Lightweight, stiff and extremely durable, it’s the ideal material for a performance ride and dependable suspension performance in rugged XC conditions.
MegaDrive
A massive rectangular-shaped downtube and oversized toptube form the heart of the composite front triangle. This design, called MegaDrive, produces incredibly precise trail handling and super efficient pedaling stiffness.
Maestro Suspension
Four strategically positioned pivot points and two linkages make Maestro the most active and efficient suspension system in the world. With its linear spring curve and near vertical wheel path, it’s sensitive to small bumps and smooth on bigger hits. And the floating pivot point allows Maestro to remain active, even under heavy braking.
PowerCore
The oversized bottom bracket and chainstay area features a fully integrated 86-millimeter wide BB design. Combined with the MegaDrive downtube, the new design on the Anthem X Advanced 29er increases pedaling stiffness more than 3 percent.
