Top-10 For Neethling at World Cup No. 6
30 июля 2012
Giant Factory Off-Road Team rider Andrew Neethling scored a top-10 finish at Round 6 of the 2012 UCI World Cup Downhill Series in Val d’Isere, France, moving to 11th place overall with only the September 15-16 finals in Norway to go.
Neethling, coming off a podium performance at the Crankworx Les 2 Alpes event in France two weeks earlier, held the leader’s hot seat in Val d’Isere before eventually finishing 10th on his Giant Glory. His finishing time on the rocky, wide-open course was less than 3 seconds slower than the day’s winner, Brook MacDonald of New Zealand.
Neethling’s teammate Danny Hart, the reigning World Champion from Great Britain, sat out the Val d’Isere round with a shoulder injury. Hart separated his shoulder in a crash at the Crankworx Les 2 Alpes event and is currently recovering from the injury.
