Hart Podiums at DH World Cup #4

25 juni 2012

Giant Factory Off-Road Team rider Danny Hart raced to another Downhill World Cup podium, taking third place at Round 4 in Mont-Ste-Anne, Québec. The World Champion put in a great run on a technical course in eastern Canada, finishing just 2.14 seconds off the winning time.

“The crowds were good and I had a good run,” Hart told Cyclingnews.com. “It’s such close racing now. Two seconds between the [top] five of us is nothing on a track like this.”

Hart has now finished on the podium in three of four rounds in the 2012 World Cup, and  sits fourth overall in points.

Hart’s teammate Andrew Neethling also moved up in the rankings with a strong eighth-place finish. The South African is now 12th overall with momentum to try and move into the top-10.

Hart and Neethling will be back in action next week as the World Cup Downhill Series heads to the U.S. for Round 5 in Windham, New York.
