Eight months after he broke his leg in a training crash, Rabobank rider Robert Gesink was back on top, winning the 2012 Amgen Tour of California on his Giant TCR Advanced SL. With resurgent form, Gesink then went to Sierra Nevada, Spain, in late May to train and prepare for the rest of his season, including the June 11-17 Tour de Suisse followed by his big goal, the Tour de France in July.

In this video, we joined Gesink in Sierra Nevada, Spain, where he talked about the difficult year he has been through, his comeback win in California, and how he has worked with Giant to improve his time trial performances, a critical part of succeeding in the grand tours.
