For our Design Center Europe, located in Lelystad, Giant Europe BV is looking for a creative
Industrial Designer. The designer is working closely together with a global team of Industrial Designers, Product Engineers, Product- and Categorymanagers.


 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute Design projects for new products and bicycle components for the Giant Global
Group.
- Deriving new strategic oppertunities from trend research on design, color and consumer
behaviour.
- Defining the design requirements by constructive product and market research.
- Assisting the Color&Graphic design function.
- Supporting the marketing department in creating product communication material.
- Assisting the Senior designer in development and research tasks.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
- A master or bachelor degree in Industrial Design or comparable relevant education in
Product Design.
- Being creative, flexible and pro-active.
- Strong affinity with bicycle design specifically and mobility solutions in general.
- 3+ years of experience in product design, preferably in the cycling industry.
- Ability to work independently as well as the ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Having a high quality standard and a strong consumer oriented focus.
- Experienced user of relevant software like SolidWorks and Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Having no objectives against frequent international traveling.
