CUSTOM TUNED
fO Composite Science: Hand-cut composite swatches are strategically laid-up piece-by-piece to create each frame. By precisely layering each individual swatch (there are over 500 pieces per frame) in an exact schedule, the frame’s ride qualities are meticulously crafted and controlled.
Your Benefit: Because of the direction of each individual piece’s composite grain, Giant engineers are able to custom-tune each frame’s individual ride characteristics. This “schedule” produces Meta Composite frames that feature a careful balance of forgiving vertical compliance and efficient lateral stiffness for maximum performance without sacrificing all-day comfort.
MINIMAL METAL
fO Composite Science: Meta Composite frames use aluminium sleeves only in the bottom bracket, headtube cups and dropouts where critical metal-to-metal mechanical connections are necessary.
Your Benefit: Less metal and more composite equals less overall weight and fewer opportunities for mixed-material corrosion issues (a bad thing).
LUGLESS CONSTRUCTION
fO Composite Science: Meta Composite frames feature bladder-moulded single-piece, lugless front triangles to minimise the potential for joint failure or superfluous weight as a result of tube-junction overlap.
Your Benefit: Meta Composite Composite Technology doesn’t rely on lugs to join its tubes, so your frame is lighter, stronger, and straighter than “assembled” bicycles.
COMPOSITE WRAPPING ENSURES CRITICAL STRENGTH
